Who we are

This website is run by Teknique Flooring Solutions ("Teknique", "we", "us"), a flooring company based in Goshen, Indiana, serving the Michiana area of Indiana and Michigan. This policy covers this website and the estimate request form on it.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you request a free estimate, we collect your name, phone number, email address (optional), town or ZIP code, the service you're interested in, approximate project size, timing, and any notes you add. We also record whether you agreed to receive text messages and the exact wording you agreed to, with the date and time.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, we record:

• which pages you view and which of our buttons you click (for example, "Book a free estimate");
• the website or ad that sent you here (the referring address and any campaign tags in the link, such as utm_source);
• whether you're on a phone, tablet or computer, based on screen width;
• a random visit ID that lets us count one visit as one visit. It is stored only in your browser tab's session storage and is deleted when you close the tab.

We do not use cookies, advertising pixels or cross-site tracking on this website. We do not record your exact location.

Like nearly all websites, our hosting provider and the font service we use automatically receive your IP address and browser details when your browser loads the page. See "Service providers" below.

How we use it

• To contact you about your estimate request by phone, text message or email, schedule a visit, and prepare a quote.
• If you separately opted in, to send you occasional text messages about offers and seasonal services.
• To understand how many people visit the site, which advertising works, and how to make the site easier to use.
• To keep records of our customer communications and to meet legal obligations.
• To protect the site from spam and misuse.

How we share it

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only:

• with service providers that run parts of our website and business for us, under agreements that limit their use of the data;
• when required by law, court order or to protect our rights, property or safety, or that of others;
• with a buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized.

Service providers

Links to other sites, such as our Yelp page, are covered by those sites' own privacy policies.

How long we keep it

We keep estimate requests for as long as we need them to serve you and keep business records, generally up to five years after our last contact with you. Visit statistics are kept for up to 25 months. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see "Your choices").

Your choices

• Text messages: reply STOP to any text from us to stop texts. Reply HELP for help. You can also call us and ask.
• Calls and email: tell us at any time that you'd like us to stop contacting you, and we will.
• See, correct or delete your information: call or text us at the number below. We'll confirm the request is from you, then respond within 45 days.

We won't treat you differently for making any of these requests.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because we don't track visitors across other websites, this site doesn't change its behavior when it receives that signal. We also don't allow other companies to collect information about you across sites through our website.

Children

This site is meant for adult homeowners. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

Security

Estimate requests are stored in a database that only our owners can sign in to, and data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, so please don't include sensitive information such as payment card numbers in the form.

California, other state residents

We are a small local business and do not meet the size thresholds of state comprehensive privacy laws such as Indiana's Consumer Data Protection Act or the California Consumer Privacy Act. We still honor the access, correction and deletion requests described above for anyone who asks.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we'll note it at the top of this page.
